I know I did. For far too long, I self-abadoned until I no longer knew who I was, where I was going, or how in the hell I got so fucking lost.
and it was slowly killing me.
My story began a bit like a Dicken's novel.
I survived being abandoned at the hospital, watching my sister's death, being raised in a repressive religion, my parent's divorce, sexual trauma . . . and that was all before I was 18.
I survived, tooth and nail, by becoming a distorted, shapeshifting, people-pleasing version of my self that I thought other people could handle.
